Pirates God and the Frenchmen
The Science Museum of Minnesota has the “Real Pirates” exhibit. It has been very popular. As their website states:
Hollywood’s glamorous and adventure-packed portrayal of pirates has captured our imaginations for generations. But what was life on the high seas really like during the Golden Age of Piracy? You’ll find out in Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship.
Don your pirate hat and climb aboard a recreation of a pirate ship. Learn to tie knots and hoist a pirate flag. Meet members of the Whydah’s crew and explore what life was like on a real pirate ship. And see more than 200 artifacts from North America’s only authenticated pirate shipwreck. The exhibition runs through September 3, 2012.
Unfortunately the gold at the exhibit attracted a very undesirable group of people – Batroc the Leaper and Batroc’s Brigade
Batroc the Leaper and Batroc’s Brigade took over the Science Museum of Minnesota to steal the artifacts and gold from the “Real Pirates” exhibit. They rounded up all the patrons at the museum and locked them up – apparently to keep them out of the way.
Batroc’s Brigade are a well trained group of mercenaries who are very loyal to Batroc. They know that even if they get caught Batroc’s lawyers typically can get them out of jail quickly. They also know if they seriously injure or kill an innocent bystander that Batroc will let them rot in jail.
Batroc was able to bounce between the heroes and land a number of blows onto Penthesilea, which seemed mostly ineffective. On the other hand, Penthesilea was able use her blows and lasso to seriously hurt Batroc.
As Batroc the Leaper was about to leave he came back and stole a kiss from both Azerath and Penthesilea. And after having stolen his kisses Batroc the Leaper and his Brigade headed out the door. It looked like the Batroc the Leaper and Batroc’s Brigade would get away, but at that very moment Penthesilea threw a large case at the escaping villains and stopped them.
