The Story

The Science Museum of Minnesota has the “Real Pirates” exhibit. It has been very popular. As their website states:

Hollywood’s glamorous and adventure-packed portrayal of pirates has captured our imaginations for generations. But what was life on the high seas really like during the Golden Age of Piracy? You’ll find out in Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship.

Don your pirate hat and climb aboard a recreation of a pirate ship. Learn to tie knots and hoist a pirate flag. Meet members of the Whydah’s crew and explore what life was like on a real pirate ship. And see more than 200 artifacts from North America’s only authenticated pirate shipwreck. The exhibition runs through September 3, 2012.

Unfortunately the gold at the exhibit attracted a very undesirable group of people – Batroc the Leaper and Batroc’s Brigade

Batroc the Leaper and Batroc’s Brigade took over the Science Museum of Minnesota to steal the artifacts and gold from the “Real Pirates” exhibit. They rounded up all the patrons at the museum and locked them up – apparently to keep them out of the way.

Just as Batroc the Leaper and Batroc’s Brigade were starting to collect the treasure the North Star Heroes showed up.

Batroc’s Brigade are a well trained group of mercenaries who are very loyal to Batroc. They know that even if they get caught Batroc’s lawyers typically can get them out of jail quickly. They also know if they seriously injure or kill an innocent bystander that Batroc will let them rot in jail.

For a while during the fight it looks like Batroc’s Brigade had some members of the North Star Heroes pinned down.

Batroc was able to bounce between the heroes and land a number of blows onto Penthesilea, which seemed mostly ineffective. On the other hand, Penthesilea was able use her blows and lasso to seriously hurt Batroc. Batroc kicking penthesilea

In the meantime Azerath was busy wrapping up members of Batroc’s Brigade in all manner of objects including some of the banners which hung from the ceiling on the main floor.

As Batroc the Leaper was about to leave he came back and stole a kiss from both Azerath and Penthesilea. And after having stolen his kisses Batroc the Leaper and his Brigade headed out the door. It looked like the Batroc the Leaper and Batroc’s Brigade would get away, but at that very moment Penthesilea threw a large case at the escaping villains and stopped them.

The Story

ThunderballThe infamous Wrecking Crew invaded the Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant. The brilliant physicists, Dr. Franklin, aka Thunderball was siphoning off energy directly from the power system into what has been described as a ‘battery’. The Wrecking Crew were surprised by our very own North Star Heroes.

WreckcrewAs can be seen in this plant surveillance video, the entire Wrecking Crew ended up next to each other when the superhero GigaVolt dropped in from above, grabbed the members of the Wrecking Crew and transformed all of them and himself into a bolt of lightning.

Outside surveillance cameras captured that GigaVolt and the Wrecking Crew were outside the plant in a large meadow nearby. Very quickly Azerath, Blue Lightning, and Penthesilea appeared at the battle was on.

Lightning boltAt various points during the battle Piledriver got blasted by lightning from GigaVolt after Piledriver was thrown in the air.

Even though Wrecker is considered the strongest member of the Wrecking Crew, it was Thunderball who caused the North Star Heroes the most trouble.

At one point during the battle there was a brilliant flash of light when Blue Lightning smashed his foot onto the ground. Which caused everyone nearby to get knocked down.

In the end the North Star Heroes were able to defeat the Wrecking Crew.

The Story

Armadillo It was a lovely Friday evening at the St. Louis Park West End Mall when a gang of thugs with shotguns attacked shoppers, dinners, and theater goers at the mall. The police later reported that the thugs were in the hire of a Supervillain known as Armadillo. As this photograph shows, Armadillo is a very tough Supervillain. But on this day, Armadillo and his thugs were meet by the Twin Cities very first superheroes.

Gigavolt’s story

Well I had just finished watching The Avengers with my family and as we are about to exit the theater when I spot 2 thugs with shotguns. Not wanting my family to be in danger I have them head back up stairs to the upper level of the theater. After that I ducked behind a corner near a play pen area and engaged my suit. As I exited the theater I see Blue Lighting attack one of the thugs and I blasted the other thug with a lightning bolt. As I round the theater I see a dumpster upended and almost blocking off the alleyway. So I jumped on top of it just in time to see Armadillo emerge from the ground after trying a weaker lightning on him I realize a full power lightning bolt will be necessary and after blasting him once he realized it was wise to give it up. After a brief chat with Armadillo we turned him and his armor over to the police. Next week Blue Lightning, Azerath, Penthesilea, and I showed up at a lake for a meeting to discuss what happens next.

St. George Apartment Fire

Apt fire

The Story

A roaring fire at a 93-year-old apartment building just south of downtown Minneapolis started in an electrical room in the basement, authorities said Friday.

The fire early Wednesday in the 32-unit brick building at 137 E. 17th St. forced dozens of people out of their homes and for a time sent smoke drifting across Interstate 94. No serious injuries were reported.

While the Fire Department’s arson unit has pinpointed the fire’s origin to the electrical room in the northwest corner of the St. George Apartments, investigators could only say that its cause is “an unspecified electrical malfunction.”

As 45 firefighters battled the blaze, two super powered people arrived to help the firefighters rescue people trapped on the top floors of the building.

Later it was discovered that the two super powered people are Blue Lightning and GigaVolt.

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
